Classes
Dog>Gone Flyball will be offering a beginners' class this fall on Sunday mornings. Classes will start on September 7th and run through October 19th (skipping October 12 due to a flyball tournament). Classes will be from 11:15 AM to 12:15 PM. Cost for the 6 week set of classes will be $90. Dogs must be at least 8 months old and should have some basic obedience training before the class. Since flyball 1 classes are only offered on an infrequent basis due to our busy tournament schedule, handlers who are anxious to get started in the sport are encouraged to do private lessons on weekends or during daytime hours during the week. Dogs with good focus and good recalls can progress quickly (1 to 3 private sessions) and then be ready to join group classes at the flyball 2 level. Private classes are devoted exclusively to your dog’s training level. Please call Nancy at 751-5154 for available times.
Before taking flyball classes, it is strongly recommended that dogs take the Really Reliable Recall Class offered at the Sarasota Obedience Training Club.
